The Flash is Born

Due its simplistic storyline, there’s not a lot to be said about Tuesday night’s episode of the flash. Despite its incredibly fun “Revenge of the Nerds” episode and Carlos Valdes alias Cisco Ramon’s high tech formula for sonic punch which is obviously a blast at any high school after party for bullies. I still possess reservations about the show’s future due to its two reruns in a row at the beginning of its first season. Remember shows like the Flash are supposed to ran as if they’re competing in a marathon not the one hundred meter dash. 


What I expect at this point is a weekly development of Flash powers based on high school physics, more hints that Tom Cavanagh alias Dr. Harrison Wells may actually be Professor Zoom and further investigation into the death of Nora Allen. The possibility that Wells maybe Professor Zoom is what provides the series with a potential depth that may carry it through its first season and possibly second season. Not because of the effect it would have on Barry’s team, but due to exploration of Well’s psyche as villain turned super hero mentor. It’s the why, how and when of that question that could produce at number of incredible episodes for the series which would culminate into the final showdown between Wells and Allen, if Wells is indeed Professor Zoom.

A Synopsis of the film 'Go West'

Although I know that this a foreign film, I disliked the fact of having to read subtitles.  When being forced to focus on subtitles, I tend to miss great deal of the film's details: facial expressions, body language, the meaning of tonal inflections. “Go West” is an extremely well done docudrama whose feel and atmosphere is like that of docudramas based upon WWII Germany.  The most important aspect of the film's construction is its lighting.  In “Go West” lighting isn't just a visual element, but a character.  The film's lighting acts as a POV (point of view) character. It gives its viewer a sense of narration. In conjunction with its textural landscape, the film's lighting transmits mood and intensity; it as if dialogue was meant to take second place in conveying mood and feeling in an attempt to stimulate not intellectual sympathy, but first hand visceral (gut) feelings within its audience.
